| Racing a yacht can be expensive - racing a yacht well is expensive. We could not participate in Australia's premier events like the Pittwater to Coffs without the valuable support of our sponsors. Blah blah ect ectThey look forward to sharing with you their experiences of sailing at sea.
Their aim is to give high quality personalised instruction in a safe, friendly, and fun environment, and to encourage their students to pursue excellence in sailing.
Being a Royal Yachting Association (RYA) recognised training centre means that you can expect to be taught by an experienced instructor aboard a seaworthy, safe, well maintained and suitable craft, on courses within the RYA’s proven training schemes.
Qualifications earned on RYA courses are recognised and valued worldwide.
We offer a true "hands-on" learning experience in a fantastic, sub-tropical sailing area. We sail year round, in t-shirts and shorts most of the time, in a National Marine Park - a true paradise.
When you enrol in our sailing program you should expect:
- Personalised attention from a professional instructor
- To learn sailing aboard a well equipped boat
- Experience under real ocean conditions
- To share your experience with dolphins, fish, sea birds and migrating whales
The boat? "B52" is a Murray, Burns & Dovell designed Sydney 41. She has sailed in the 2002 Sydney to Hobart race and has campaigned both locally and along the east coast for some time.
The popularity of the Sydney 41 has gone pretty much undiminished since "RAPTOR" won the 1994 Sydney to Hobart yacht race. Originally built as an IMS cruiser/racer, the in-line masthead rig configuration and comfortable interior has maintained the longevity of this design. Quite fortuitously, recent rule changes to the IMS handicap system have produced a renaissance era, and the Sydney 41 is currently enjoying a new lease of life.
Whether you want to learn how to sail your own boat, gain practical experience for a sailing holiday, gain formal qualifications or just have fun, Holiday Coast Yachting can help you "Realise Your Dreams With Confidence"
